Wedding in the Mountains (bears included... sorta)

We played a wedding in the Smokeys last Saturday. It was a really cool venue, a big open air pavilion with a rustic stone fireplace at one end. It felt like we were really out in the wilderness. The was forest thick and there was a stream right next to the pavilion that you could hear anytime we stopped playing. Just before we started playing a ranger came down to tell us that some bears were spotted climbing on cars near our location. Fortunately, they never made their way to the reception.

After the brief warning from the ranger, we started playing. The first dance went smashingly; as did the Bride/Father, Groom/Mother dance. Once they opened up the dance floor people were dancing nonstop. A lot of people complimented us, but I must say, seeing everyone pack on to the crowded dance floor had to be the biggest compliment that we got.

The Old City Buskers are commonly mistaken for the Old City Busters. In retrospect we should have considered that our name sounds a lot like Old City Busters. As it turns out Old City Huskers is another way to mistake our name. I'm not sure if it supposed to be Old City Husker or Old City Huskers, but either way, they are all supposed to be Old City Buskers
